Expert Answers about GMC Propane Accessories

  • Can you Connect Two Accessories to the Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve Fittings
  • On the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve part # 103537-MBS it does provide two connection points for accessories to be used. I see the confusion in the wording though. It will connect directly between the on board propane tank and the gas lines on your RV. You can then attach your fire pit and grill and have what sounds like a heck of a time in a very nice coach!

  • Can Big Red Portable Campfire Be Used With Low Pressure Propane
  • I spoke with my contact at Camco who said that the Big Red Portable Gas Campfire # CAM58035 is only compatible with an auxiliary propane tank and should not be connected to your low pressure propane connection from your trailer. The Campco Big Red Portable Campfire, part # CAM58035 is designed to work with a propane source like a 20 lb portable tank. There is an in-line regulator with this fire pit that makes sure a safe pressure level is maintained when using the fire pit, so if you have...

  • Can a Single Stage Propane Regulator Be Used In Place of a Dual Stage
  • The MB Sturgis Single Stage Propane Regulator part # 108072 can be used in place of a dual stage regulator so long as the fittings on the end of the leader hose are the same which they should be. I am not sure what you mean by, "Can I swap these out and then have the regulator on the stove come into play" but you only need to have one regulator running from the propane supply to the accessory assuming it reduces the pressure to the correct water column (W.C.) count and has the correct BTU...

  • Best Way To Use The MB Sturgis T-Fitting For A Portable Propane Campfire.
  • You do not need to do anything to the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve - 1/4" FIF and Disposable Cylinder Ports # 103612-MBS to prevent propane from coming out of unused ports/connections. They are sealed until a hose or accessory is attached to it. When the Little Red Campfire Portable Gas Campfire # CAM58031 is stored I recommend disconnecting the propane lines to be on the safe side of caution. You could leave it attached but if the valve at the tank is not completely...

  • Can the Everchill Refrigerator for RVs 324-000119 Be Used While Driving
  • The Everchill Refrigerator for RVs part # 324-000119 is a 12 volt refrigerator which was essentially designed so you can keep the contents inside cold while traveling down the road to your campsite and while at your campsite. In comparison, a 120 volt refrigerator like the Everchill Refrigerator for RVs part # 324-000109 is designed to be used when hooked up to shore power or a generator. Unfortunately, we do not have any refrigerators which are powered by propane but if I am not mistaken...

  • What is Needed to Use Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater
  • I do not know the propane line you have to know if you can use it, but I can tell you the correct hose for the Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57341. What you will need to use is the Camco Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator # CAM57703, which will connect from the fitting on the heater directly to a propane tank with a Type 1 male connector. It can't be double regulated so it will need to go directly to the tank.

  • Can the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Flow T-Fitting Be Installed On Service Hose Under RV
  • The propane tee's we offer need to be installed on the tank as that is how you'll bypass the regulator. If you spice into the supply further down the line you'll be run through the regulator which will cause a problem with most propane accessories and kind of defeats the purpose of the tee. The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Flow T-Fitting part # 103606 uses POL fittings, if you need Type 1 you can use the Propane T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve part # 37207-30215. I have attached an article below if you...

  • Where to Install the Mounting Brackets of the Curt TruTrack # C17499 Compared to the Hitch Ball
  • I spoke with my contact at Curt who said that the ideal location for the brackets is 28" on your frame from the hitch ball for the Curt TruTrack # C17499. He did say that they designed this Weight Distribution (WD) system so that you have a little more freedom in where you mount the brackets due to propane tanks or other accessories so there is a little wiggle room in the exact location.

  • Options for Charging Accessory Battery on Trailer and Making Sure Battery Doesnt Overcharge
  • If you do not want to disconnect the vehicle connector from the trailer connector when you are not towing, you can install a Battery Isolation Solenoid # PK5231201 on your tow vehicle. This solenoid will shut off the 12V feed from your vehicle battery to your trailer's battery when the vehicle's ignition is off. I have attached a review video of this solenoid for you. I recommend checking to see if your solar charger has a regulator to ensure that the panel doesn't overcharge the battery....
